FREQUENTLY ASK QUESTIONS

It’s normal to question this .Many couples wait until disconnection feels painful. Common signs it’s time:

  • The same fights loop without resolution
  • You feel distant, like roommates instead of partners
  • Conversations turn critical, defensive, or silent
  • Intimacy (emotional or physical) has faded
  • Trust feels broken (after infidelity, stress, or big changes)
  • Small issues explode quickly, or you avoid talking

Early support prevents patterns from hardening. A free 20-minute consult lets us explore what’s happening gently — no pressure, just clarity. Book one today if any of this feels familiar.

These are simple habits couples use to stay connected (great ideas, but not a full fix for deeper issues):

  • 3-3-3 Rule: 3 minutes of focused attention daily, 3 hours of quality time weekly, 3 days away together each year.
  • 7-7-7 Rule: Date night every 7 days, weekend getaway every 7 weeks, longer trip every 7 months.

They build small, consistent deposits into your relationship. In therapy, we combine habits like these with deeper tools — nervous system calm, attachment repair, nonverbal awareness ,so the connection lasts.

Research shows that 70% to 90% of couples report improvements in emotional well-being and relationship satisfaction after completing evidence-based therapy. The key factors are willingness, honesty, and consistent effort from both partners.

8–16 sessions (about 2–4 months with weekly meetings) often brings clear, noticeable improvements.

I don’t bill insurance directly. Many relationship concerns — intimacy, communication, affair recovery, premarital work — aren’t always covered by insurance, and using insurance often requires a mental health diagnosis to be placed on your record. Keeping sessions private allows us to focus on your relationship goals, not on what an insurance company will approve.
If your plan allows out-of-network reimbursement, I can provide a receipt (superbill) you can submit to your insurer.
